Probationary Teaching Assistant (9:1:3 or 6:1:2) –Elementary School Level (Grades K-4) at Forest Park Elementary School.

Job Qualifications

The South Colonie Central School District is seeking (1) Probationary Teaching Assistant (9:1:3 or 6:1:2) to fill a position for the 2025-2026 school year.

OPENING: (1) Teaching Assistant (9:1:3 or 6:1:2) – Elementary School (Grades K-4) 

START DATE: ASAP 

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

Our ideal candidate should have;

• Teaching Assistant or Teacher (preferred Students with Disabilities) with appropriate NYS Certifications.
• Effective communication skills to engage students, parents, colleagues and the school community as a whole.
• Creativity and insight into core curriculum.
• Familiarity and experience providing instruction and support for students with emotional disabilities and/or behavioral challenges.
• Experience with students with varying abilities, solid organizational skills and willingness to facilitate hands-on activities.

SALARY AND BENEFITS:

According to the South Colonie Teaching Assistant Contract at least $28,273.00 depending on experience and transcripts.  Competitive benefits.
