GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
New York State certification in Elementary Education and/or Reading/Literacy. Experience in area of certification preferred, especially in grades K-4. Preference will be given to current K-4 reading and classroom teachers within the District.
WORK SCHEDULE:
All classes will run July 6 to July 30, 2026, 16 days, 3.25 hours per day (teachers) and 3 hours per day(teaching assistants), 4 days per week (Monday thru Thursday),
All teachers will be responsible for attendance at two planning sessions of approximately 2 hours each prior to and at the end of the program.
All summer school teachers will be responsible for daily attendance and record keeping.
COMPENSATION:
Teacher compensation is according to the Board of Education Policy 9290.
Teaching Assistant compensation will be determined by employment status (i.e. hourly rate of pay).
