Probationary 1.0 English as a New Language Teacher for 2026-2027  

Start Date:  September 1, 2026

Salary and Benefits:

According to the SCTA Contract - at least Schedule 1, Step 1 or $57,677.00 depending on experience and transcripts.  Competitive benefits. 

Job Qualifications

General Requirements:

• ESOL/TESOL NYS Certification.  (Dual certifications in Special Education a plus).
• Teaching experience and familiarity with the culturally relevant needs of English Language Learners and Emergent Multilingual Learners in both High School and Elementary School level environments.
• Knowledge of state and federal standards as it pertains to ELL's.
• Effective communication skills to engage students, parents, colleagues and the school community as a whole.  Awareness and experience with relative technology software programs.
• Creativity, attention to cultural awareness and insight into core curriculum.
