Job Description

POSITION TITLE: Food Service Helper

REPORTING TO: Food Service Director/Head Cook

LOCATION: Colonie Central High School - Main Cafeteria

HOURS:  5.75 hours per day (Monday-Friday 6:30 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.)

START DATE:  ASAP

RESPONSIBILITIES:

This is routine manual work performed under immediate supervision in connection with preparation and service of food. Food Service Helpers will perform cooking duties involving lesser degrees of skill than regularly required of employees in the classification of Cook.

SALARY AND BENEFITS: $15.88 per hour per CSEA Contract.

Job Qualifications

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

Working knowledge of the proper methods of preparing and serving food; knowledge of proper sanitation practices and food handling techniques; ability to follow oral and written directions; good physical condition.
