Job Description

Use this to apply for any posted Grades 5/6 Summer Program positions. 

Four (4)	Elementary Teachers for Grades 5 and 6
Two (2)	Special Education Teachers

WORK SCHEDULE:

1. All classes will run July 6 to August 6, 2026, 20 days, 3 hours per day, 4 days per week (M-TH).

2. All teachers will be responsible for attendance at two planning sessions of approximately 2 hours each prior to and at the end of the program. Grade 5 Session 1 (8:30-10:00), Grade 6 Session 2 (10:00-11:30).

3. All summer school teachers will be responsible for daily attendance and record keeping.

COMPENSATION:

Teacher compensation is according to the Board of Education Policy 9290.

Job Qualifications

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

New York State certification in Elementary Education.  Experience in area of certification preferred.
