Job Qualifications

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

Teachers:  New York State certification in respective areas.  Experience in area of certification preferred.

Teaching Assistants:  Candidates must meet NY State certification requirements as a teaching assistant.

School Nurse:  New York State license as a Registered Nurse.

Monitor: Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and ability to establish good rapport with students.

WORK SCHEDULE:

1. Classes will be held from July 6, 2026 to August 14, 2026, 5 hours per day (Monday through Friday).

2. All teachers will be responsible for attendance at two planning sessions of approximately 2 hours each prior to and at the end of the program.

3. All summer school teachers will be responsible for daily attendance and record keeping.

4. Compensation for Extended School Year (ESY) teachers shall be a stipend of $7,800.00 for a 5-hour workday spanning 30 days.  This rate is inclusive of all prep time and duties.  Additional compensation is permitted only for attendance at CSE meetings, scheduled outside of the ESY work day, which shall be processed through SSS payroll at the employee's 2026-2027 contractual hourly rate.
