Job Description

The South Colonie School District is seeking a 1.0 Long-Term Replacement Elementary/Childhood Education Teacher position at the Elementary School (K-4) level for the 2026-2027 school year 

OPENINGS: (1) Long-Term Replacement Elementary/Childhood Education Teacher - Elementary Level (Grades K-4) 

START DATE: September 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027. 

Job Qualifications

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: 

Our ideal candidates should have; 

Elementary/Childhood Education Teacher with appropriate NYS Certification (Grades K-4 or 1-6).

Effective communication skills to engage students, parents, colleagues and the school community as a whole. Awareness and experience with relative technology mediums would be ideal.

Creativity and insight into core curriculum.
