Probationary Special Education Teacher (9:1:3-Self-Contained Classroom) for 2025-2026 located at Forest Park Elementary School.

Start Date: September 1, 2025

The educator will be responsible for teaching groups of students with a range of disabilities.  The selected candidate will develop, monitor and adjust instruction to promote the growth of our students which includes their intellectual, emotional, social and physical well-being.  Additionally, the successful candidate must demonstrate unquestionable integrity, understand the value of culturally responsive instructional practices and have a firm belief in the potential of all students.   

Probationary Special Education Teacher (Co-Teach) Middle School Level (Grade 7) for 2025-2026.

Our ideal candidate should have;

• Special Education/Students with Disabilities (7-12) NYS Certification.
• Candidates who posses other teaching certificates, in addition to special education are preferred.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Familiarity and experience providing instruction and support for students with emotional disabilities and/or behavioral challenges.
• Effective communication skills to engage students, parents, colleagues and the school community as a whole.  
• Familiarity and experience providing instruction for students with developmental disabilities in a co-teach setting.
