Probationary Elementary Integrated Co-Teach Special Education Teacher Elementary School Level (Grades K-4) for 2026-2027.
Start Date: September 1, 2026.
The educator will be responsible for teaching groups of students with a range of disabilities. The selected candidate will develop, monitor and adjust instruction to promote the growth of our students which includes their intellectual, emotional, social and physical well-being. Additionally, the successful candidate must demonstrate unquestionable integrity, understand the value of culturally responsive instructional practices and have a firm belief in the potential of all students.
General Requirements:
Our ideal candidate should have;
- Special Education/Students with Disabilities (K-12) NYS Certification.
- Candidates who posses other teaching certificates, in addition to special education are preferred.
- Master's degree preferred.
- Familiarity and experience providing instruction and support for students with emotional disabilities and/or behavioral challenges.
- Effective communication skills to engage students, parents, colleagues and the school community as a whole.
- Familiarity and experience providing instruction for students with disabilities in a co-teach setting.
Salary and Benefits:
According to the SCTA Contract - at least Schedule 1, Step 1 or $57,677.00 depending on experience and transcripts. Competitive benefits.
